Tool and Die Maker (Mold Making)

Location: Lewiston, Idaho, United States; onsite at SEL's manufacturing facility

Salary: $31.00–$59.00 per hour, depending on role level and qualifications

hirify.global designs and manufactures safety-critical products and vertically integrated injection-molded parts and molds for the electric power industry.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and modify molds and tooling for injection-molded parts.
• Prepare technical tooling specifications, detailed tooling designs, bills of materials, and job estimates.
• Develop CAD/CAM models and programs for mold-making operations.
• Set up and operate sinker EDM, wire EDM, multi-axis milling, electrode, CNC, and other specialized equipment.
• Complete assigned work within timelines while maintaining high quality and precision.
• Document and improve mold-building procedures, standards, productivity, and automation.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of journeyman-level tool and die or mold-making experience.
• 5–10 years of CAD/CAM experience.
• Ability to mentor and develop the skills of other employees.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40 pounds and sit or stand for at least 8 hours.
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better, color differentiation, reach, bending, kneeling, twisting, gripping, pinching, and fine finger dexterity are required.

Nice to have

• Completion of a CTE machining program.
• CNC machining experience or entry-level experience in a related area.
