Tool Maker (New Ulm)

Location: On-site in New Ulm, Minnesota, United States. Travel may include up to 5% domestic. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Salary: $41.61–$45.24 per hour starting rate and potential maximum rate.

What you will do

• Build, repair, and improve tooling used in plastic and rubber injection molding, high-speed stamping, and assembly equipment.
• Support production processes for products including water filters, electrical termination products, hard hats, respirator components, and ear plugs.
• Document ideas that reduce maintenance costs, improve operations, and increase equipment reliability.
• Operate safely and follow all applicable safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve plant, department, and production goals.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical diploma or higher in Machine Tool Technology, completed and verified before starting.
• At least five years of related experience building, repairing, or maintaining molds or dies.
• Ability to operate all manual tool room equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and follow written and verbal safety and operating instructions.

Nice to have

• Seven or more years of related mold or die experience.
• Drafting or modeling experience.
• Mastercam experience.
• CNC milling or turning experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
