Registered Nurse, RN - D4 Cardiac Step Down (Cardiac Nursing)

Location: Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.

Salary: $37.50–$68.47 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac step-down patients and their families.
• Conduct and document accurate clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Use professional nursing judgment to adapt care to patient needs and changing health statuses.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate care appropriately, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Develop patient and family education and discharge plans using appropriate referrals and community resources.
• Support new staff development through onboarding assistance, precepting, and professional education.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 12 months to less than 3 years of RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Relevant department-specific certifications may be required based on the patient care provided.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Knowledge and application of the nursing process, with ability to perform physical patient-care duties including lifting, turning, standing, and walking.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
