Location: Remote/Home-Based in Canada, Spain, France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, or the United States

Base salary for US-based candidates: $228,000–$342,000 annually, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Define and execute the global R&D Resource Management strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
  • Connect R&D functional leaders, global program teams, finance, and governance committees around resource planning and prioritization.
  • Lead AI and machine-learning forecasting for FTE demand using historical effort, trial complexity, and portfolio velocity.
  • Design and optimize Planisware algorithms, resource drivers, workload curves, and enterprise integrations.
  • Deploy Named Allocation workforce-planning tools and manage analysis of capacity, skills shortages, bottlenecks, and burnout risks.
  • Own resource analytics, dashboards, executive scorecards, scenario modeling, and actuals-versus-forecast reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business administration, data analytics, operations research, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology R&D, life sciences consulting, or clinical operations.
  • 6–8 years of hands-on leadership in enterprise resource management, portfolio analytics, or capacity planning within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical organization.
  • Mastery of Planisware, including algorithm customization, resource-driver setup, workload modeling, and system integration.
  • Experience with quantitative analytics, data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, and AI/ML predictive tools.
  • Experience leading Named Allocation, capacity planning, enterprise software deployment, executive governance, and multi-year planning cycles.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or Ph.D.
  • Experience with Anaplan or Workday resource-management modules.
