Technical Account Representative (Biotech)

Location: Rijswijk, South Holland, The Netherlands. The first two months are onsite for training; afterward, the role is hybrid with 3 days working from home and 2 days onsite.

What you will do

• Manage daily customer service operations covering order placement, complaints, technical support, and initial inquiries.
• Provide technical advice, interpret customer requirements, and shape solutions to match business-unit capabilities.
• Prepare accurate, customized quotations and communicate technical solutions to customers.
• Work with Sales Account Managers as a technical consultant to improve customer satisfaction.
• Attend trade shows and technical events and deliver technical presentations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Cell Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field.
• Extensive hands-on laboratory experience with DNA cloning, plasmid preparation, PCR, protein expression, protein purification, Western blot, ELISA, flow cytometry, HPLC, cell culture, and animal studies.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to present technical content.
• Customer-focused, proactive, and action-oriented approach.
• Previous industry experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French or German.
