Senior Accountant - Marketplace (FinTech)

Location: New York, NY, United States only; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 USD gross annual base pay

hirify.global operates a global marketplace for buying and selling tickets to live events through hirify.global and viagogo.

What you will do

• Prepare month-end journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations for revenue, accounts receivable, and payable accounts.
• Collaborate with Finance, FinTech, Engineering, and other departments to support marketplace operations.
• Prepare documentation for statutory audits, quarterly reviews, and annual external audits.
• Analyze and manipulate large datasets using Power Query, Excel, and other advanced analytical tools.
• Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of audit experience with a public accounting firm.
• Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and Power Query.
• Strong process improvement, organization, prioritization, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work from New York, NY on the required hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Big Four or other relevant audit experience and a combination of public and private accounting experience.
• NetSuite experience and basic SQL proficiency.
• FinTech industry experience and experience working with payment service providers.
