Senior Revenue Accountant (eCommerce)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Redwood City, California office, United States

Salary: $98,113–$133,985 annual base pay, plus equity, bonus, and benefits

What you will do

• Perform monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close activities, including revenue analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Execute Order-to-Cash controls and reconcile transactions across subledgers, BI platforms, and ERP systems.
• Investigate unusual revenue transactions and resolve daily accounting inquiries with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with Finance Systems, Data, and Engineering on system enhancements, API implementations, and process automation.
• Support new product and marketing launches through system configuration and testing, ensuring ASC 606 compliance.
• Assist with SOX 404 compliance, internal and external audits, reporting packages, and ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA is highly recommended.
• 3–5+ years of Order-to-Cash, revenue, or related accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606, with strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Experience with revenue recognition software such as Leapfin, BI tools such as Looker, and NetSuite or an equivalent ERP.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills, with experience in system implementations, integrations, process automation, or AI-driven tools.
• Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, integrity, judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Big Four, eCommerce, public company, high-volume transaction, or SOX 404 experience.
