Process Engineer—Chemical Operations

What you will do

• Define and maintain manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, batch records, and bills of material.
• Specify functional requirements for new equipment and validate equipment changes and upgrades.
• Design and run production trials for new products, then analyze results to improve process capability.
• Define material specifications, process parameters, and procedures for safe, high-quality, cost-effective mass production.
• Investigate quality and production issues through root-cause analysis and implement corrective improvements.
• Collaborate with chemical development, production, maintenance, and environmental, health, and safety teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Three to five years of engineering experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Experience with process characterization and validation tools, including Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
• Experience working at a site operating under Process Safety Management and implementing its program elements.
• Ability to use and train others on laboratory equipment for chemical testing and in-process quality control.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, and electrical issues.
