Mortgage Loan Officer (Mortgage Lending)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; office-based workplace

Salary: $10.00–$11.54 per hour base compensation, provided as a non-recoverable draw reconciled against earned incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Develop internal and external referral sources to grow the mortgage business.
• Advise clients on mortgage loan options and related financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Support customers from loan approval through closing and coordinate with loan origination sources.
• Secure and verify information required for underwriting and advise customers on completing loan applications.
• Maintain client relationships and identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organizational, multitasking, PC, and internet skills.

Nice to have

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
