Mortgage Loan Originator, Community Lender (Kansas City MSA - Johnson County)

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, at the Terrace Mortgage Loan Office; hybrid schedule with in-person collaboration three days per week and remote flexibility two days per week.

Salary: $63,288–$104,425 base pay annually.

What you will do

• Originate and close mortgage loans while following compliance and file accountability requirements.
• Provide expert mortgage guidance and deliver a clear, consistent customer experience throughout the loan process.
• Build referral partnerships with realtors, financial service providers, nonprofits, community organizations, educational institutions, churches, and local government groups.
• Serve low- to moderate-income borrowers, minority communities, LMI tracts, and MMCTs in support of CRA and Fair Lending objectives.
• Organize or participate in financial education, homeownership workshops, and community outreach events.
• Create a personal business plan, generate new leads, and meet monthly lending and sales goals.

Requirements

• Unrestricted US work authorization is required; future sponsorship is not available.
• Established connections in the assigned geographic area and experience with community outreach, relationship-building, and referral partnerships.
• Ability to travel between hirify.global locations and community partners.
• High school diploma or equivalent, strong verbal and written communication, and demonstrated customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of CRA, community development, Fair Lending, MMCTs, LMI tracts, and LMI borrowers.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; SAFE Act registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System is required.

Nice to have

• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably in Community Mortgage Lending.
• Active Mortgage Originator status with an existing pipeline.
• Knowledge of mortgage operating systems, pricing, and underwriting requirements.
• Bilingual communication skills, depending on the assigned geographic area.
