Investment Companies Associate (AI)

Location: New York City, United States. Hybrid work model with an in-office expectation of 4–5 days per week.

Base salary: $270,000–$410,000 per year.

What you will do

• Advise on the formation, registration, compliance, and governance of registered investment companies, investment advisers, and independent directors.
• Use AI agents to generate, compare, and redline Form ADV registrations and other regulatory filings.
• Review marketing materials, pitch decks, and performance presentations under the Marketing Rule, including track record and portability issues.
• Support private fund launches and advise on regulatory implications of adviser M&A and spin-outs.
• Represent advisers in SEC examinations, document requests, and follow-up matters involving valuation, conflicts, fees and expenses, and marketing.
• Collaborate with clients and technology teams to improve AI-assisted regulatory workflows.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor or equivalent and admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4–6 years of investment funds regulatory experience.
• Hands-on experience with Marketing Rule reviews and SEC examinations, with the ability to discuss both in detail.
• Strong drafting and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Interest in applying technology to traditional legal and transaction workflows.
• Practical AI fluency and the ability to discuss concrete AI tools, workflows, and outcomes during interviews.
