Medical Assistant (Somerset/Middlesex, NJ)

Location: Field-based work throughout New Jersey, with daily travel to members' homes in assigned service areas including Somerset and Middlesex Counties.

Salary: $23–$27 per hour. Certified Medical Assistants receive a higher starting hourly rate.

What you will do

• Partner with providers during in-home visits for patients with complex healthcare needs.
• Gather medical histories, patient information, vital signs, specimens, and blood samples.
• Support patient education, engagement, preventive care, and chronic care gap closure.
• Document care activities in electronic medical record systems.
• Coordinate pre-visit and post-visit activities and maintain field supplies and equipment.
• Travel throughout assigned New Jersey counties and service areas to support patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program and at least one year of healthcare experience.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with electronic health records and ability to work independently in a field-based setting.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Home health, primary care, risk adjustment, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, population health, community-based care, or care management experience.
• Current CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification.
