Educational Consultant (EdTech)

Location: Based in New York State, United States; this is not a remote role. Up to 80% travel is required, including travel by car, plane, and public transportation. Candidates must live in New York State, have their own transportation, and hold a valid driver's license. Major airports include Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, and Albany.

Salary: $30–$65 per hour, depending on the type of work, including at-home and away-from-home assignments.

What you will do

• Deliver professional development, product training, and implementation support for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Facilitate on-site workshops and adapt sessions to participant needs within defined parameters.
• Support lesson planning, pacing, data analysis, and the application of data to classroom instruction.
• Help school leaders identify implementation successes and challenges using evidence.
• Build expertise in online diagnostic and instruction programs and Common Core products for grades K–8.
• Complete training notes, assignments, internal development activities, observations, and coaching cycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards for grades K–8 or comparable state standards.
• Experience using digital tools and online assessments, with the ability to discuss and apply data with educators and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• New York State residence, own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 80% are required.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching at the secondary level, especially grades 6–12.
• Knowledge of online meeting tools such as Zoom or Webex.
• Bilingual communication skills.
