Senior Acquisition Training Lead

Location: Hybrid, with 70% telework and 1–2 days of in-office work per week in Washington, D.C.

What you will do

• Create acquisition training materials, courses, desk guides, self-help resources, and training videos.
• Operate the Learning Management System, maintain the training database, and manage training logistics.
• Conduct training sessions, advertise opportunities to stakeholders, and respond to service desk inquiries requiring training refreshers.
• Review Department of the Navy and Department of War procurement policy updates and translate them into concise, practical learning content.
• Collect and analyze training class feedback to improve course effectiveness.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Department of War contract specialist in the 1102 job series.
• At least 5 years of recent adult learning, knowledge transfer, and course preparation experience within the previous 15 years.
• DAWIA Level II, Contracting Professional Certification, Certified Federal Contract Manager certification, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, Department of War acquisition policy, defense contractor practices, acquisition methods, and contract types.
• Active Secret clearance and successful completion of a drug screen and background check are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with NMCARS, Other Transaction Authority, construction contracts, Atlassian Confluence, Navy Electronic Procurement System, PIEE applications, Clause Logic Service, or Cornerstone LMS.
• Experience with contract closeout, unliquidated obligation modification procedures, and acquisition lifecycle activities.
