Business Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, with attendance required 3 days per week

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and workshops.
• Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Analyze healthcare workflows, applications, data, integrations, APIs, and upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Perform SQL-based data analysis, validate healthcare data, identify quality issues, and create reports or dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with Product Owners, healthcare SMEs, developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Support UAT planning, test scenarios, defect clarification, business validation, and requirements tracking through implementation and release.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong healthcare domain experience covering healthcare applications, processes, workflows, or data.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Strong SQL, data-analysis, requirements-gathering, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with UAT, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data standards, including patient or member information, claims, billing, provider management, eligibility, enrollment, benefits, and clinical or administrative workflows.
