Sr. Enterprise Engineer (VMware)

What you will do

• Direct host patching, maintenance, and major version upgrades across multi-cluster ESXi and vCenter environments.
• Optimize VMware DRS and High Availability settings to improve compute density and hardware efficiency.
• Design and govern vSphere Distributed Switch configurations, VLAN tagging, uplink teaming, and network failover policies.
• Architect and audit non-routed Layer 2 storage fabrics covering SAN, iSCSI, and NFS environments, including jumbo frame consistency.
• Maintain unified UCS server profile templates and reduce configuration drift across B-Series blade servers.
• Lead infrastructure documentation, root-cause analysis, technical forums, executive briefings, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required before starting.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4+ years of IT domain knowledge, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of IT domain knowledge.
• DoD 8140 DCWF 651 certification at the Advanced Level.
• CCNA, MCSE, or an equivalent certification.
• Experience with VMware virtualization, enterprise networking, storage fabrics, UCS infrastructure, zero-trust administration, and DISA STIG compliance.
