AWS/Python Software Engineer

Location: London, UK, with a hybrid working policy and travel to other company sites when required

What you will do

• Design, build, test, release, and evolve scalable full-stack applications using Python and AWS.
• Develop robust, maintainable cloud solutions with a serverless-first approach using services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and AppSync.
• Handle complex technical challenges involving large-scale systems and high volumes of data.
• Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions from the ground up.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Front-end, Platform, Security, and Design teams in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Experience as a Senior Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, or Team Lead.
• Strong Python or transferable software engineering experience with willingness to develop in Python.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL solutions.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies and cloud-native application design.
• Knowledge of TDD, automated testing, pair programming, code review, software design, debugging, and version control with Git or similar tools.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
