Counselor (Hybrid) - $1,500 Sign-on Bonus

Location: Glen Allen, Virginia, USA; hybrid and on-site work listed. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM, plus a rotating Saturday shift from 6:00 AM–11:00 AM.

Salary: $24.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on licensure, plus quarterly bonus potential. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

What you will do

• Provide individual and group counseling for patients recovering from drug and alcohol disorders.
• Guide new and returning patients through intake and orientation.
• Develop, update, and maintain individualized treatment plans and accurate patient records.
• Assess patients’ social, educational, economic, and vocational needs and connect them with community resources.
• Follow up on referrals and respond to crisis situations while completing required documentation.
• Maintain an inclusive, respectful, and compassionate care environment while meeting regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in human services or a related field.
• Must hold a Virginia credential: CSAC-S, CSAC, Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LSATP.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment with confidential and sensitive issues.
• Knowledge of human behavior, substance abuse populations, treatment planning, and human social services.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and patients with substance use or mental health conditions.
