Substance Abuse Counselor (Behavioral Health): Providing individual and group counseling, intake support, treatment planning, and recovery services for patients with substance use disorders with an accent on patient-centered care, clinical documentation, and community support. Focus on developing individualized treatment plans, responding to crisis situations, and coordinating referrals in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Location: On-site in Reno, Nevada, USA
Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour plus bonus structure and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

operates a network of Joint Commission-accredited treatment centers providing opioid addiction treatment and behavioral health services across 24 states.
What you will do
- Provide individual and group counseling for patients recovering from drug and alcohol disorders.
- Guide new and returning patients through intake and orientation.
- Develop, update, and maintain individualized treatment plans and patient records.
- Assess patients’ social, educational, economic, and vocational needs.
- Connect patients with community resources and follow up on referrals.
- Respond compassionately to crisis situations while following regulatory and documentation requirements.
Requirements
- CADC certification is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- State-level requirements must be met.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with sound judgment.
- Ability to work with patients and colleagues in stressful clinical situations.
- Comfort with prolonged standing, bending, keyboarding, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens while using PPE when required.
Nice to have
- Behavioral health experience.
- Knowledge of substance abuse populations, treatment planning, and human social services.
- Understanding of human behavior and rehabilitation of patients with drug dependency.
