Senior Real Time Engineer (Power Generation)

What you will do

• Lead real-time monitoring and proactive intervention for power-generation equipment and balance-of-plant systems.
• Analyze real-time and historical data to assess equipment health, detect anomalies, and reduce downtime.
• Act as the senior escalation resource for complex troubleshooting and operational incidents.
• Lead root cause analyses, corrective actions, and reliability-improvement initiatives.
• Develop technical reports, reliability dashboards, troubleshooting guides, and operational references.
• Coordinate with field teams, engineering, leadership, vendors, and third-party suppliers while mentoring real-time engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in field operations or real-time engineering, preferably in power generation or energy operations.
• Advanced knowledge of power-generation equipment and operational monitoring.
• Experience with CAT G3520 reciprocating generator packages, Solar SMT turbine generator packages, electrical and controls interfaces, power distribution and transformation equipment, AC systems up to 15 kV, and DC systems up to 120 V.
• Experience leading root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience with Power BI, Grafana, Sophia, multi-generator controller visualization tools, and Microsoft Office.
