Category Manager - Powertrain & Driveline (Manufacturing)

Salary: $103,300–$177,700 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies for powertrain, driveline, and related spend categories.
• Analyze category spend, market trends, supplier performance, synergies, and business value opportunities.
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders and lead or support contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier engagement, preferencing strategies, part taxonomy, category pricing governance, and total cost of ownership models.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks, business continuity plans, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Mentor and coach category managers while leading through influence across multiple functional areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and seven or more years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or a related field.
• Ability to travel 25–30%.
• Experience with data analytics and category or commodity spend management.
• Ability to understand engineering and technical drawings and communicate technical information.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, follow-through, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with web-based software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Category strategy experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Relevant industry certifications.
• Experience mentoring or leading team members through direct reporting relationships or project work.
