Category Buyer - Engine Castings (Manufacturing)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week. Travel is less than 20%. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and execute category strategies, policies, agreements, source catalogs, and procurement programs.
• Support the Engine General Castings Tier 2 foundry supply base.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and inventory while improving quality.
• Assess business proposals, supply risks, production demands, and supplier conditions.
• Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Document supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with business data analytics, including data inspection, transformation, modeling, and decision support.
• Working knowledge of negotiation concepts and techniques.
• Working knowledge of supplier relationship management.
• Working knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies, and processes.
• Ability to analyze supplier, operational, financial, and performance data and identify risks and opportunities.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Mossville, Illinois; relocation and visa sponsorship are not available.
