Director, Human Resources - North American Operations

Location: Remote, based in the United States; preference for Eastern or Central time zones. Approximately 30% travel to manufacturing and distribution facilities and other business locations.

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead execution of the Americas HR strategy across approximately twelve manufacturing and distribution locations.
• Advise Operations, Supply Chain, and site leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, talent, leadership, and operational changes.
• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate HR Managers and HR Business Partners across the operating footprint.
• Oversee employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, employment decisions, and escalation support in partnership with Legal.
• Drive talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, leadership development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Use workforce metrics to identify trends, establish action plans, standardize HR processes, and improve organizational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years in a senior HR leadership role within manufacturing or an industrial environment.
• Experience leading HR teams across multiple locations and supporting manufacturing and distribution workforces.
• Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, organizational development, talent management, compliance, and safety practices.
• Must establish employment eligibility and successfully complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.
• Ability to communicate transparently, exercise sound judgment, remain adaptable, and work collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
• Experience advising senior Operations or Supply Chain leaders.
• Experience strengthening site HR capability and implementing consistent people processes.
