Global Operations Associate

Location: Milan, Italy; onsite

Salary: €28,000–€38,500 gross annual base salary, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Coordinate end-to-end import and export freight shipments, including intermodal movements, within the regional network.
• Ensure shipments move on time, meet quality standards, and comply with internal KPIs and SLAs.
• Resolve client and operational issues at origin and destination, escalating exceptions when needed.
• Coordinate daily logistics activities with carriers, customs teams, terminals, trucking providers, warehouses, and other internal and external partners.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, control costs, improve customer experience, and standardize operations.
• Support partner-managed shipments and help develop greater partner autonomy where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or completed professional training as a forwarding agent.
• 1–2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or air carrier operations.
• Fluent Italian and English required.
• Strong time management, prioritization, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt to new technology, manage a high volume of tasks, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Compliance-first mindset and willingness to follow standard operating procedures and best practices.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of air freight operations.
