Category Management Director - Indirect

Location: Hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office in Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; Cape Girardeau, MO; or Centennial, CO. Willingness to travel is required.

Salary: $102,400–$179,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop and lead category strategies aligned with client priorities and organizational objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including requirements development, RFI/RFP execution, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
• Advise clinicians, physicians, executives, operational leaders, supply chain professionals, and suppliers on category and sourcing decisions.
• Facilitate stakeholder committees and value analysis discussions to align clinical, operational, and financial priorities.
• Manage complex portfolios across sourcing, contracting, analytics, implementation, and value analysis teams.
• Use spend, utilization, supplier, and market data to identify savings, standardization, quality, innovation, and efficiency opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain, consulting, healthcare operations, contracting, or a related field.
• Experience leading complex sourcing and category management initiatives and negotiating complex supplier agreements.
• Ability to influence executive, clinical, operational, supplier, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder committees, value analysis initiatives, or cross-functional decision-making groups.
• Advanced analytical, executive communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and apply AI responsibly in complex business situations.
