Category Manager (Technology Sourcing)

Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States

Salary: $120,700–$147,500 per year, plus potential bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise business and technology leaders on sourcing strategies aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including demand assessment, market analysis, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracting, implementation, and performance management.
• Develop category strategies for software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, telecommunications, and technology services.
• Run RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, commercial analyses, business cases, and executive recommendations.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Security, Technology, and business teams while mentoring sourcing professionals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, including 5+ years in technology-related categories.
• Experience developing sourcing and category strategies and negotiating complex technology agreements.
• Knowledge of software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, and technology services sourcing.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience leading competitive sourcing events, supplier evaluations, and business-case analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, spend analytics tools, procurement platforms, and data-driven decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience in a complex global organization, media, entertainment, or consumer-facing industry.
• Knowledge of global technology markets, suppliers, and sourcing practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
