Data Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support the design and rollout of data governance frameworks covering ownership, definitions, lineage, retention, and auditability.
• Translate Consumer Duty, CASS, KYC/AML, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements into data controls, monitoring, and reporting.
• Build and maintain SQL and dbt models, dashboards, reports, reconciliations, alerts, and documentation.
• Automate manual and spreadsheet-driven processes using tested, version-controlled analytics practices.
• Use AI-enabled tools responsibly for analysis, coding, quality assurance, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Product, Commercial, and data leadership stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Compliance Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on dbt experience, or the ability to learn modern transformation tooling quickly.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, compliance, or relevant financial-services regulations.
• Experience with modern BI tools such as Metabase, Lightdash, Omni, or Looker.
• Comfort with Git, version control, peer review, and engineering-influenced analytics practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, including communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, and workflow automation.
• Experience in fintech or financial services.
• Knowledge of Consumer Duty, CASS, KYC/AML, GDPR, Market Abuse Regulation, or data retention.
