Credit Risk Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid work arrangement; office location in the United Kingdom

Company

A major UK retailer providing branded customer credit accounts alongside its retail business.

What you will do

• Produce regular credit risk reporting and conduct ad hoc analyses.
• Analyse trends, risks, opportunities, processes, and lending rules using multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with Senior Analysts to develop and deliver lending strategies.
• Build and present credit risk reporting and monitoring for internal meetings.
• Translate complex analysis into clear insights that support business decisions and customer proposition improvements.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in an analyst role, ideally in consumer lending or financial services.
• Highly numerate and analytical background with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Experience working with SQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting insights to stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a diverse, multidisciplinary team and deliver results at pace.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Databricks, Python, and Power BI.
