Electrical Engineer (Hardware)

Location: Paris, France; office attendance expected 4+ days per week

What you will do

• Analyze power integrity for custom integrated circuits and develop related processes and performance metrics.
• Perform board-level and silicon-level simulations of power networks.
• Measure and characterize power networks using vector network analyzers, time-domain reflectometry, and other laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with Physical Design, Electrical Engineering, and RF teams on placement, signal integrity, power integrity, and power distribution tradeoffs.
• Review schematics and PCB layouts, and test and validate memory interfaces, power regulators, and power delivery networks.
• Debug hardware issues, perform failure analysis, identify root causes, document findings, and support corrective actions.

Requirements

• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and experience with electronic design, component selection, and schematic design.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture.
• Experience with TDR, vector network analyzers, and 2.5D or 3D power delivery network and signal integrity simulation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in electrical or hardware engineering.

Nice to have

• MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with power integrity, signal integrity, or power delivery network analysis.
• Experience with integrated circuit design concepts such as VHDL or analog design.
• Experience with PCB layout strategies for power delivery network impedance targets.
• Experience developing and documenting engineering processes and test methodologies.
