Field Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Bernin, France; Dresden, Germany; or Leixlip, Ireland. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: €67,200–€92,400 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze field service data, customer feedback, equipment performance trends, and recurring issue patterns.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for recurring product and service issues.
• Partner with field service, engineering, manufacturing, customer quality, supplier quality, and business unit teams.
• Improve service documentation, lessons learned, knowledge assets, and troubleshooting practices.
• Develop quality metrics, dashboards, action plans, and capability-building initiatives.
• Support customer escalations, product introductions, ramp readiness, and field reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent field experience.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, field service engineering, manufacturing, customer support, or a related technical role.
• Experience leading root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and influence without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, high-tech manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with customer-facing technical support or escalation management.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering, failure analysis, and data-driven problem solving.
• ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, or another quality-related certification.
