Senior Strategy Manager

Location: Hybrid, with regular office attendance in Milton Park, Oxfordshire or London Blackfriars, United Kingdom. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance; at least one day per week must be worked from the Milton Park office. The Milton Park office is expected to relocate to Oxford city centre in late 2027 or early 2028.

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning activities, including board processes and multi-year financial planning.
• Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives from conception through implementation.
• Build business cases for new ventures, partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend assessments to produce commercial insights.
• Present recommendations to executive and senior leadership and facilitate strategic planning workshops.
• Manage high-priority projects, coordinate stakeholders, and mitigate delivery risks.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and implementing impactful strategic initiatives.
• Strong ability to transform complex datasets into executive presentations and actionable insights.
• Experience in top-tier consulting or an equivalent strategy role.
• Experience executing global initiatives across multiple countries and regions.
• Experience with innovation and growth initiatives such as product launches, market expansions, or acquisitions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, AI, and data analytics capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in publishing, knowledge-driven businesses, B2B or B2C information businesses, or edtech.
• Experience facilitating executive-level discussions and strategic planning sessions.
• Understanding of academic and scholarly communication.
