Integrations Engineer (SDK)

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid)

Salary: €75,000–€95,000 per year, plus stock options.

What you will do

• Own the LiveKit Agents and Pipecat plugins in Python and TypeScript from design through release.
• Maintain the public APIs, examples, packaging, and synchronized releases of Python, Node.js, and WebAssembly wrappers.
• Contribute changes to upstream open-source projects and build relationships with project maintainers.
• Create and maintain integration documentation, including quickstarts, compatibility matrices, and migration guides.
• Triage, reproduce, fix, or route integration issues reported by customers and partners.
• Bring new models and SDK features into all integrations and use developer feedback to prioritize improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with both Python and TypeScript.
• Experience publishing and maintaining a package on PyPI or npm for external users, including versioning, release notes, and breaking-change management.
• Contributions to an upstream open-source project that resulted in merged changes.
• Understanding of real-time audio fundamentals, including sample rates, frame sizes, buffering, and latency budgets.
• Ability to write developer-focused documentation and support engineers integrating the SDK.
• Comfort working with a native core and reading Rust and C bindings; daily native development is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with LiveKit, Pipecat, another voice agent framework, WebRTC, PyO3, napi-rs, gRPC, or protobuf.
• Daily use of AI coding tools with a clear understanding of their strengths and limitations.
