Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Berlin, Germany

Compensation: €200,000 – €300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own engineering end-to-end, including execution, quality, reliability, and people management.
• Shape a lean, high-performing team with AI-native workflows as the default.
• Partner with executive, product, and design teams to turn ideas into successful experiments.
• Build a robust QA function to prevent defects and manage release risks.
• Develop the leadership bench and engineering culture to support rapid organizational growth.
• Write and review code as a hands-on leader.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Berlin.
• Proven experience scaling engineering organizations through significant business growth.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience leading frontend, backend, and reliability functions.
• Ability to connect engineering decisions to business outcomes.
• Experience rethinking team workflows to integrate AI and increase shipping speed.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native.
• Experience with Python and data pipelines.
