Early Career Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Identify mechanical requirements and define analyses for the verification and validation of space components.
• Support static and dynamic structural analyses and verify results using manual calculation methods.
• Perform mechanical performance analyses for high-precision instruments and space structures.
• Contribute to static and vibration test simulation, oversight, post-test assessment, and correlation.
• Develop and validate finite element models using Hyperworks and NASTRAN.
• Verify joining elements according to ESA standards, develop internal analysis tools, and document models, results, and compliance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in static and dynamic structural analysis, finite element methods, and manual calculations.
• Proficiency in NASTRAN and Hyperworks.
• Prior professional experience in the design and verification of aerospace structures is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of space-specific requirements; composite structure design and calculation experience is beneficial.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, written and spoken, is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Programming skills in Matlab, Python, VBA, or C++.
• Experience with composite structure design and calculation.
