Mission Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible

hirify.global Defence and Space develops and integrates aerospace and defence systems, including aircraft computer systems, networks, ISR mission systems, and avionics.

What you will do

• Specify aerospace computer systems and networks, provide technical guidance, oversee suppliers, and support final aircraft integration.
• Design, configure, optimize, and secure network infrastructures for high availability and performance.
• Integrate computer systems and networks into aerospace platforms while ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
• Supervise technical project activities and coordinate with avionics, software, and systems engineering teams.
• Apply ISR mission and avionics expertise to improve system capabilities and performance.
• Lead development and integration from requirements capture through verification, validation, qualification, and certification.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience in computer engineering within the aerospace sector and knowledge of aerospace systems and networks.
• Experience with network configuration, security, performance tuning, TCP/IP, UDP, and ARINC 664.
• Knowledge of computer systems architecture, network protocols, aerospace technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Proactive approach, problem-solving ability, adaptability, assertiveness, and willingness to travel as needed.
