Firmware Engineer (DSP)

What you will do

• Design and implement real-time systems using DSP algorithms and microcontroller firmware.
• Optimize latency, throughput, memory usage, processing efficiency, and signal-processing performance.
• Lead hardware/software integration for embedded real-time solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, design evaluations, verification, validation, and testing.
• Debug hardware and software issues, investigate root causes, and resolve complex technical problems.
• Design compliant, reliable systems and maintain technical documentation while improving engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Mid-level professional experience designing, simulating, implementing, verifying, and validating digital circuits on DSP devices and microcontrollers.
• Professional programming experience with C and C++.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Knowledge of digital electronic circuits and signal-processing algorithms including FFT, digital filters, and resampling.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, peripheral standards, communication protocols, scripting, Git, and agile methodologies.
• Fluent English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SHARC or equivalent DSP architecture, CMake, GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, Artifactory, and TCL.
• Knowledge of application-layer protocols such as DNP, IEEE 1588, and MQTT.
• Knowledge of electronic components, PCB reworking, and FPGA technology.
