Embedded Software Development Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop embedded software in C, including bare-metal low-level drivers, in accordance with DO-178C standards.
• Participate in requirements capture, code reviews, requirements reviews, and document reviews.
• Design and implement software that meets project quality standards and hard real-time requirements.
• Create design and DO-178C qualification documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and robust, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in embedded C development for bare-metal applications and low-level drivers.
• Experience in aerospace software development under DO-178B/C and within an AS9100 quality management system.
• Experience developing software to DAL-A standards, including testing methodologies, tools, and qualification activities.
• Experience writing highly optimized code for resource-constrained hardware and meeting hard real-time requirements.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware, microcontrollers, peripherals, and hardware/software interfaces.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, or similar equipment, with strong problem-solving skills and a self-starting approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Parasoft, IBM DOORS, and GitHub.
• Knowledge of MISRA C/C++ and static analysis techniques.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, RS232, PBIT, and CBIT development.
