Senior Finance Manager (FinTech)

Location: Germany, hybrid; individual contributors work at least 4 days per month on-site in the Berlin office.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize Finance processes across Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Planning, and Controlling.
• Partner with the Head of Finance on strategic projects and transition processes into scalable workflows.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation.
• Build, monitor, and refine the annual financial plan and related timelines with the Management Team.
• Support Product Development by defining functional requirements, test concepts, testing, documentation, and financial implications.
• Bridge Finance and Product Development through knowledge-sharing and collaboration on compliant investment products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Finance at a bank, FinTech, regulated institution, Big Four, or leading audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP under HGB, including RechKredV or RechVersV; IFRS, group accounting, and consolidation experience are advantageous.
• Experience in regulated financial services; exposure to IFR or CRR is valuable.
• Strong Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, process support, and financial modelling.
• Hands-on ownership, pragmatic process design, and the ability to communicate finance requirements, risks, and opportunities clearly.
• Comfort working in a German-speaking regulatory environment; German fluency is a plus.
