Stores Keeper (Logistics)

Location: Tees Dock, Middlesbrough, TS6 6UD, United Kingdom. On-site role, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £35,416 per year.

What you will do

• Manage engineering stores inventory, monitor stock levels, and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect incoming materials, parts, and equipment and complete goods-in quality checks.
• Liaise with suppliers to expedite orders and coordinate deliveries of critical engineering materials.
• Support engineering and operational teams by ensuring required resources are available.
• Maintain inventory systems, generate reports, and ensure accurate stock data.
• Conduct stores inspections, operate departmental plant or vehicles when required, and report safety concerns or non-conformances.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, or engineering stores operations.
• Strong organisational, time management, prioritisation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of stock control and inventory management best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Awareness of Health & Safety requirements in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
