Category Manager - Global Food (E-commerce)

What you will do

• Own commercial performance for assigned food categories, including GMV, gross margin, inventory turnover, availability, and customer growth.
• Develop category strategies based on customer demand, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer behavior.
• Source, develop, and manage local and international suppliers, brands, and manufacturers.
• Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, rebates, promotional support, and other commercial conditions.
• Optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, new product introductions, and underperforming SKU elimination.
• Manage demand forecasting, replenishment, inventory levels, and cross-functional delivery with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 5+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, category management, or commercial roles, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or the food industry.
• Strong understanding of sales, margin, pricing, inventory management, and commercial performance.
• Experience in supplier sourcing and commercial negotiation.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Results-oriented approach, ownership, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
