Salary: $71,900–$98,900 per year

What you will do

• Provide assessment, treatment, referral, and documentation for occupational injuries, illnesses, and emergency non-occupational conditions.
• Conduct medical surveillance, pre-employment, fitness-for-duty, DOT, OSHA, and equipment-operator examinations.
• Administer occupational health, drug and alcohol testing, wellness, and employee assistance programs.
• Coordinate modified-duty assignments, workers’ compensation case management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work outcomes.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, Safety, and Risk Management teams on employee health, ergonomics, audits, and safety education.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, medical records, professional certifications, and confidential employee relationships.

Requirements

• LPN or Registered Nurse qualification with a practical nursing or associate degree in nursing.
• AHA or Red Cross CPR/AED certification.
• Experience practicing nursing in occupational health or an emergency room setting.
• Knowledge of state workers’ compensation law, OSHA requirements, and occupational health regulations.
• Strong written and oral communication, independent judgment, critical thinking, and crisis-management skills.
• Ability to maintain required professional licensure and certifications.

Nice to have

• COHN or COHN-S certification from the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses.
• Certification or experience in spirometry, audiometry, or drug-test collection.
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and electronic charting systems.
