Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Location: Onsite at a health center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, United States

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM. No regular weekends, with occasional flexibility for 1–2 evening drug-screen appointments per month.

What you will do

• Provide occupational health care to client employees, including evaluation, treatment, triage, medication administration, and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate case management, transitional duty, and return-to-work programs with third-party administrators and clients.
• Perform and document medical tests and screenings, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, CDC, and other regulatory requirements for clinical operations and physical evaluations.
• Maintain patient records, medical equipment, infection-control standards, and a clean and safe care environment.
• Support health education, injury prevention, accident investigations, workplace safety initiatives, and collaboration with healthcare professionals and company departments.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required; ACLS may be required depending on the contract scope.
• Experience with workplace hazard mitigation, health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty assessments, and return-to-work examinations.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health, such as COHN or COHN-S.
• Certification in Emergency Nursing or Case Management.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
