2nd Shift Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Location: On-site Health Center in Middletown, Connecticut, United States; Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM

Salary: $40.80–$51.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide autonomous second-shift nursing care as the sole nurse on duty.
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patients within the scope of practice, including injured workers and emergency cases.
• Manage occupational health evaluations, screenings, medical tests, treatments, and patient records.
• Coordinate case management, transitional duty, return-to-work programs, and follow-up care.
• Support workplace safety, injury prevention, accident investigations, and health promotion initiatives.
• Maintain medical equipment, infection control standards, regulatory compliance, and a safe clinical environment.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required depending on the contract scope.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency care, or ambulatory care.
• Experience with workplace hazard mitigation, health screenings, fitness-for-duty assessments, and return-to-work exams.
• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification is preferred and may be required at some sites.
