What you will do

• Direct and lead the operation of the onsite health center in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Provide occupational and nonoccupational injury and illness assessment, treatment planning, case management, and return-to-work support.
• Advise HR, Safety, Legal, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, and refinery departments on health-services policies and compliance.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing programs, coordinate required reporting, and support DOT compliance.
• Lead medical examinations, including OSHA physicals, hearing, pulmonary, pre-placement, and fit-for-duty assessments.
• Develop the health-care team through staff training and support crisis management and emergency response activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current jurisdictional nursing, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant license required.
• Five years of RN experience in primary care or emergency care, including two years in primary care.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment, clinical reasoning, delegation, collaborative interventions, and critical thinking.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office, and proficiency with ODG by MCG.
• Ability to work in an onsite health center and perform occasional after-hours on-call duties.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher, board-certified nurse practitioner qualification, or accredited physician assistant qualification.
• Two to three years of occupational health experience.
• COHN-S, CAOHC hearing conservation, pulmonary function testing, FIT testing, or US DOT drug-screening and breath-alcohol certifications.
