Quality Inspector 2 (Print Manufacturing)

Location: Greensboro, NC, United States; onsite, 1st shift

Salary: $35,360–$47,153.60 per year; the posting also lists an hourly range of $17.00–$22.67.

What you will do

• Select and package production samples for shipment.
• Visually inspect random samples of printed products for defects such as torn pages, incomplete cuts, incorrect bindings, color issues, dirt, and other out-of-specification conditions.
• Follow inspection checklists and quality standard operating procedures, recording identified defects.
• Prepare written reports and notify manufacturing management about known or discovered defects.
• Identify potential quality issues and work with department leads or management on appropriate solutions.
• Assist with complex customer orders, defective product disposition, and training or mentoring employees.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of quality control or quality assurance experience in a printing environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, administrative procedures, and job-specific processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for explaining quality policies and resolving issues.
• Very good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and coordinate work with others.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background and drug screen is required.
