MDP Customer Engineer I (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Yokkaichi, Japan; on-site work required

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment with support from senior field service engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate directly with customers and coordinate service activities.
• Work in clean-room and on-site environments, following safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of customer service, field service, or related technical experience.
• Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
