TL;DR
Principal Software Engineer (AI) (Cloud/SaaS): Building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native services and SaaS platforms with an accent on distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and AI-powered applications. Focus on defining technical strategy, designing reference architectures, evaluating emerging technologies, and leading cross-functional engineering alignment.
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid work with in-office and/or in-person expectations

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, reliable production-grade software.
- Build and operate cloud-native services and SaaS platforms for customers at scale.
- Apply AI technologies, generative AI, large language models, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies to engineering and business challenges.
- Define technical vision, architecture strategy, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, design and code reviews, and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, facilitate knowledge sharing, and communicate technical direction to engineering, product, and executive audiences.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including large-scale distributed systems.
- 7+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating SaaS applications in public cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and modern software development practices.
- Experience with Java, Go, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript; Node.js experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, generative AI, LLMs, agentic frameworks, intelligent automation, and AI-powered application development.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience, plus strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Node.js experience.
