Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Deploy, operate, sustain, and troubleshoot production-ready solutions, software, and tools.
• Administer and analyze Linux systems across RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments.
• Manage virtualized environments, VMware vSphere virtual machines, and containers.
• Support DevOps technologies, systems automation, configuration management, Kubernetes, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform performance tuning, disaster recovery support, and large-scale systems administration.
• Work under contractual guidance and provide calm, customer-facing technical support.

Requirements

• Onsite work in Washington, DC is required.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting Linux systems in large-scale environments.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, virtual machines, containers, or similar technologies.
• Strong analysis, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.

Nice to have

• Technical experience with Linux administration and initial troubleshooting across multiple distributions.
• Knowledge of Linux logs, filesystem permissions, users and groups, services, SystemV, and SystemD.
• Experience troubleshooting disk space, boot, backup and restore, package management, and performance issues.
• Basic understanding of Apache, NginX, MySQL, and common Linux tools such as top, sar, and free.
