Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Durham, North Carolina, United States; onsite work in the Durham facility. Must work a 2-2-3 day shift: 6:45am–7:00pm or 6:45pm–7:00am.

Salary: $27.00–$38.32 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment and high-speed trading card packaging lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
• Maintain and repair machinery including feeders, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, presses, conveyors, folders, and bindery equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Repair or manufacture replacement parts using welders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and other machine-shop equipment.

Requirements

• Seasoned maintenance mechanic with experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of machine controls and the ability to distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic failures.
• Ability to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, concentricity, pressure, flow, clearances, and fits.
• Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of construction, assembly, geometry, shop mathematics, and replacement-part manufacturing.
• Availability for the required 2-2-3 day or night shift schedule is mandatory.
