Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript)

Location: Chicago, IL; hybrid work with four days onsite each week

Salary: $114,100–$193,975 USD annually, inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive.

What you will do

• Develop full-stack web applications with Vue, Nuxt 3, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
• Build and maintain server-side rendered and universal applications, focusing on routing, hydration, caching, browser behavior, and performance.
• Create reusable front-end components and contribute to component libraries and design-system patterns.
• Develop Node.js APIs, middleware, and integrations with headless CMS, analytics, personalization, and third-party platforms.
• Contribute to AI-enabled marketing workflows for content creation, migration, schema mapping, personalization, experimentation, and automation.
• Support production delivery through testing, debugging, monitoring, accessibility, SEO, security, privacy, and Core Web Vitals improvements.

Requirements

• Four days of onsite work per week in Chicago, Illinois.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue, Nuxt, React, Next.js, Angular, or similar.
• Knowledge of server-side rendering, static generation, universal JavaScript applications, browser fundamentals, accessibility, networking, and performance.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, asynchronous programming, modular code, package management, and build tools such as Vite, Webpack, or Rollup.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Node.js services, middleware, external integrations, and AWS or a similar cloud environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with headless content management systems such as Contentstack.
• Experience supporting digital marketing teams with content personalization, analytics, or lead-generation workflows.
